The Siemens EQ6 plus s100 (TE651209GB) is a compact entry-level bean-to-cup machine with a ceramic grinder, a 15 bar pump and a milk hose that draws from your own jug. Owners praise how easy it is to use and clean, the self-rinsing milk line and the espresso taste, and it is often heavily discounted. The drawbacks: many find drinks, especially milky ones, only warm. Rinsing fills the drip tray quickly, and no milk jug or water filter is supplied. There is also no Americano, flat white, double cup or app control. It suits households wanting simple everyday espresso and milk coffees at a good price. Anyone who wants very hot lattes or a wider menu should look higher in the range. No independent long-term reliability data was found.

What the features mean in everyday use.
TE651209GB is the UK code for the Siemens EQ6 plus s100 in Diamond titanium metallic, GTIN 4242003829042. The same code and GTIN appear at Argos, John Lewis and AO.
The milk system is an integrated hose (milk straw) that dips into your own jug. Siemens lists no milk container, Tech Advisor confirms none is supplied, and buyers say they had to source one.
The drink menu covers espresso, coffee, cappuccino, latte macchiato, caffe latte, espresso macchiato, milk foam and hot water. Four milk drinks are one-touch. Americano and flat white are not on the list, and one John Lewis buyer complained that the handbook says Americano is not available.
Siemens specifies a 15 bar pump, 1500 W, a ceramic grinder with multilevel grind setting and an aromaDouble Shot function for stronger coffee.
Per the manufacturer table, the s100 has no Home Connect app, no oneTouch DoubleCup, no cup heater, no superSilent and no pot function. Tech Advisor notes that two espressos need two separate grinds.
The machine has automatic steam rinsing of the milk system (autoMilk Clean), a removable brewing unit, dishwasher-safe milk and drip parts, and a descaling programme.
Ease of use and set-up is the most common praise across Argos, Currys (Feefo) and John Lewis reviews.
Many owners rate the espresso and coffee taste highly. Tech Advisor also praised the aroma and taste. A minority of buyers found the coffee flat or weak.
Owners frequently praise the self-cleaning milk system and easy daily cleaning. A few find the ground-coffee chute hard to clean or the descaling cycles long.
The biggest recurring complaint is that coffee and especially milk drinks come out only warm, even at the highest temperature setting. This appears at all three stores and in many of the low-star reviews.
Several owners say the rinse cycles at switch-on and switch-off use a lot of water. The drip tray fills quickly and the tank needs frequent refills.
No starter water filter or cleaning tablets come in the box, and buyers report extra costs for filters and cleaning or descaling supplies. Tech Advisor also notes there is no Brita filter.
A minority of reviews describe faults or returns: ground-coffee function not working, milk spluttering, brewing-unit problems. On the bean2cup forum, three owners report a recurring 'Fill bean container' error with a full hopper. Store reviews are not a representative failure rate.
Some owners find the plastic finish looks cheaper than its list price suggests. A few mention the grinder is loud.
Owners like being able to adjust strength and cup size and save favourites. One John Lewis reviewer notes that only one favourite can be stored.
Argos and John Lewis sell it at less than half its £999 list price. AO lists it at full price but is out of stock. Currys has delisted it, and no Amazon.co.uk listing was found.
At 281 mm wide with a 1.7 l tank and a 300 g bean hopper, it is a compact bean-to-cup machine with moderate capacities.
Tech Advisor's 2019 review called it a competent, reliable machine with great-tasting coffee. Its criticisms were the missing milk container, unclear instructions for the first milky drink, and no adjustable milk-to-coffee ratio.

See the common points first, then read the original reviews yourself.
Summarised from the 199 reviews we read. A review can mention several points, so the theme counts can add up to more than 199.
Owners mostly describe the EQ6 plus s100 as a simple, friendly bean-to-cup machine. It is easy to set up, uses an intuitive display, lets you adjust strength and cup size, and makes coffee many rate above their old machines or café coffee. The self-rinsing milk hose and easy daily cleaning are well liked. The clearest, repeated complaint is temperature: coffee and especially milk drinks are often only warm, even at the highest setting. Other common gripes are a drip tray that fills quickly because of the rinse cycles, no milk jug, water filter or cleaning tablets in the box, and a plastic look that some feel does not match the list price. A minority report taste they find flat, a loud grinder, or faults leading to returns. Many buyers feel it is good value at its discounted price.
Summarised from 199 reviews. The summary is drawn from opinions that recur in the reviews read; each theme shows how many reviews mention it. These counts are not a rate and do not apply to every unit.
199 distinct TE651209GB text reviews: Argos 10 (the newest, the only ones shown), Currys via Feefo 83 (UK text reviews; 54 rating-only excluded), John Lewis 107 (all, one duplicate merged). Awesome fully automatic machine. Excellent espresso, easy milky drinks, but not hot enough, just warm.
R*** 5/5 3 November 2026 Argos
This is brilliant, I'm not one who likes fuss so this is as simple as it gets. Cleans itself, makes banging coffee (depending on which beans you get). What more could you ask for. I managed to get it half price at £500 so I'm more than happy. Saves me £4:80 a day at Starbucks
G*** 5/5 24 October 2026 Argos
Very nice equipment. Easy to set up and easy to use. The only thing that can irritate me personally is the volume of the grinder. I bought it for a good price and I am very happy.

Absolutely love this coffee machine! Easy to use, clean and hassle free. Makes perfect drinks and various options from latte, cappuchino, regular coffee and more. Can also choose strength and cup size. Works with either beans or ground coffee. The milk hose is also a great addition and love how easy it is to clean. Love it!
S*** 3/5 9 August 2026 Argos
Easy to use, makes good coffee BUT the drip tray fills up really quickly! The machine uses water to run through the spouts to clean them every time it switches on or off. So that goes into the drip tray and then uses a lot of water from the water tank. So need to keep emptying drip tray and filling water tank much more often than is necessary

Really pleased with my coffee machine. It's easy to use, looks great, and most importantly, the coffee is excellent. The quality is noticeably better than what I was making before, and I'm genuinely impressed with it. Very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend it.

Not worth the money, especially for people who enjoy good coffee. It's a very basic coffee machine, similar to what you'd find at a petrol station, I use very high quality coffee beans the same ones I always use but the coffee still tastes just average with this machine.. …

This is the ultimate bean to cup machine. Self cleans after each use., including the milk frother! Really makes great coffee using our favourite beans. Easy to use visual display. You can add favourites so your coffee is literally one button press. … Takes up a fair bit of space on our kitchen worktop, but so worth it!

Unfortunately this coffee machine is of poor quality. The coffee tastes worse than from a capsule machine (I had Lavazza one before). It seems like the pressure is too low, as if you just poured boiling water over the coffee. The milk frother is good, but that's the only upside. …

The Siemens EQ.6 plus s100 is demonstrated after two years of ownership, with the user noting they remain very pleased with the coffee quality and aroma it produces. It offers eight beverage options alongside customisable cup sizes and coffee strengths, as well as an adjustable spout. It requires regular maintenance, such as rinsing the milk wand, cleaning the internal mechanism, and placing a cup underneath during automatic start/shut-off rinses.
YouTube · Long-term experience
The Siemens EQ.6 Plus s100 produces good quality coffee and milk foam with a quiet grinder and an easily removable brewing group for cleaning. However, it only allows saving one favourite profile, requires frequent emptying of the small drip and grounds trays, and completely blocks coffee brewing if cleaning and descaling alerts are ignored.
YouTube · In use
The Siemens EQ6 S100 Bean to Cup Coffee Machine is well-suited for those who enjoy strong coffee without compromising aroma. It automatically grinds and brews double shots across two extractions to prevent a bitter aftertaste. With its intuitive touchscreen display and one-touch controls, selecting and customising drinks like lattes and cappuccinos is simple.
