The Siemens EQ6 plus s300 (TE653M11GB) is a mid-range bean-to-cup machine with a 15 bar pump, a ceramic grinder, a 1.7 l tank and an integrated milk hose system. It makes five milk drinks at one touch from a menu of 11. Owners like the ease of use, consistently good coffee and automatic cleaning. Common complaints are lukewarm drinks for some users, frequent drip-tray emptying and tank refills caused by the rinse cycles, and a plastic-heavy build. It also lacks a cup warmer, app control and one-touch double milk drinks, and the outlet only fits cups up to 14.1 cm. It suits households that want simple one-touch milk coffees without app features. UK availability is now patchy and the model appears discontinued at several retailers. No independent long-term reliability test was found.

What the features mean in everyday use.
TE653M11GB is the UK code for the Siemens EQ6 plus s300 in silver with black secondary colour. GTIN 4242003943359.
15 bar pump, 1500 W, ceramic grinder with multilevel grind setting, a single 300 g bean hopper, a ground-coffee funnel, a 1.7 l water tank and an LCD display. It measures 385 x 281 x 468 mm and weighs 9.6 kg.
The integrated milk system uses a hose and a 0.5 l milk container. Five milk drinks (latte macchiato, cappuccino, caffe latte, espresso macchiato, flat white) are made at one touch without moving the cup. Eleven drink types are listed in total, including Americano.
No cup heater, cup lighting, OneTouch DoubleCup, pot function, superSilent or Home Connect app control. The coffee outlet adjusts only between 8.6 and 14.1 cm.
Siemens claims three things: aromaDouble Shot (two grinding and brewing passes) makes extra-strong coffee less bitter, autoMilk Clean steam-cleans the milk system automatically, and the iAroma System optimises preparation.
The brewing unit is removable. The drip plate, outlet, milk nozzle, milk tube, grounds container and drip tray are dishwasher-safe. Cleaning uses tablets, and there is a descaling programme and a milk system rinse.
UK availability is limited. The Siemens UK page shows the machine as out of stock with no price, and London Appliances lists it as discontinued. Currys, Argos, John Lewis and AO did not list it. Amazon.co.uk had it in stock, sold by Amazon, and an eBay UK marketplace seller listed it new.
Owners repeatedly describe it as easy to set up and use, with simple adjustment of strength and size. One noted that the initial set-up (water hardness test and filter) took about an hour.
Coffee quality is the most frequent positive: consistent, good-tasting coffee and proper milk froth. Several owners say it saves money compared with café coffee or pods.
Opinions on temperature are split. A sizeable group finds drinks not hot enough, and some reheat them in the microwave. Others say the temperature is right or even too hot on the normal setting. Amazon's review summary also rates temperature as mixed.
Automatic rinsing at switch-on, at switch-off and after drinks means the drip tray needs frequent emptying and the 1.7 l tank needs frequent refilling. One owner says a tank lasts only 4-5 drinks. Another reports a drip-tray alert straight after emptying it.
Two UK Amazon reviewers criticised the amount of plastic. One reported plastic pieces breaking off the height-adjustable outlet and a recurring descale prompt after the warranty ended, and could not get Siemens to arrange an engineer. Another said the machine froze twice in about a year, fixed by switching off and on. A buyer outside the UK reported a display fault within two months.
The milk jug has no clip to the machine, and one owner found the milk wand hard to push into place. If the hose is left in the milk, the automatic milk-system clean injects steam into it, so owners return the milk to the fridge after use.
One long-form review notes several layout points: the water tank sits on the left and is wide and narrow, so placement matters; the large hopper holds only one bean type; the side ground-coffee drawer works well; and the machine has rubber feet rather than wheels.
No independent UK lab test of the s300 was found. The visible text of the Which? bean-to-cup guide does not cover the EQ6 plus. Tech Advisor reviewed only the s100 sibling, calling it 'a competent, reliable bean-to-cup machine'.
Applies to the model family
Buyers who paid a discounted price tend to call it good value. A minority call it a waste of money, a disappointing brew for the price, or say they would not buy it again.
Coffee Friend UK sells the international twin TE653M11RW and the black TE653M19RW. The black version ships with an EU plug and an included certified UK conversion plug. These are not the GB-coded TE653M11GB.

Summarised from the 38 reviews we read. A review can mention several points, so the theme counts can add up to more than 38.
Owners mostly praise how easy the machine is to use and the consistently good coffee and milk froth. Many say it pays for itself compared with café coffee or pods. Temperature divides opinion: a noticeable group finds drinks lukewarm and reheats them, while others find them hot enough or too hot. The automatic rinse cycles mean frequent drip-tray emptying and tank refills. Other complaints are a plastic-heavy build, isolated faults (plastic breaking off the outlet, a repeating descale prompt, freezing, a display glitch) and fiddly milk-hose handling. A few owners feel it is poor value or would not buy it again.

I bought this machine hoping to have a decent automatic home coffee machine from a premium manufacturer. I wasn't disappointed. It's very intuitive and clever and pretty simple to set up and use. I was worried about it getting messy and needing laborious cleaning, but it cleans itself and give you cues when to descale and when to empty the drip tray and refill the water tank. It makes decent coffee, consistently every time, it froths properly and just works well for a home machine. I would choose this again. The only issue, and it's a small issue, and probably a clever design so not worth losing a star for, is the loose milk jug, no clip to tidy it on the machine.…

We have had this machine now for 6-months and now seems to be an appropriate time to review the machine. … The minor issue is that I don’t think the water is heated enough to make a nice hot cup of coffee, and if you need to add milk, I find that I have no option to put the coffee into the microwave. The most frustrating thing I find is that it for some reason it always seems to indicate that the drip tray needs emptied even if you have just done it. Overall, it’s a decent machine which makes a decent cup of coffee. Is it worth the money? Maybe.

For a couple of weeks it was great. Then I noticed about 3 small black plastic bits o the drip tray. … Doind some investigation I noticed that the part you rise and lower for the cup height was loose. The plastic was breaking off randomly and falling onto the drip tray. … I tried to go through Siemens however I could not get any luck with them being able to arrange an engineer. … I am dissapointed in the quality of the machine as parts were braking off in just normal use. Now we have this descaleing issue.…

Bought this machine almost a year ago, so trust me, this review comes from someone who has put it through serious daily caffeine abuse. And honestly? What a hero. It only froze twice in all that time, and both times a simple “off and on again” sorted it out. … The machine is built like a tank but works like a butler. Super easy to use, even my in-laws figured it out on their own…

Machine itself looks good slightly varied from the machine advertised, "No Fancy Lights". stainless steel drip tray but the rest is very plastic. … Easy to set up and turn on. Lots of different variations of coffee with hot water and hot milk, which is easily dispensed. Works very well, easy to clean, a lot less waste than a typical barrista style machine. Coffee was hot, I did not use chilled milk though. The milk container is well made but difficult to push the wand into place. … overall Im happy with it. I paid £449. I did expect more from the build, less plastic.

Mundane stuff: you will need to empty drip tray and fill it with water relativedly regularly, … it likes to clean water nozzles when you switch on and when you switch off, hells sometimes it just throws some water out there for the hell of it, but dont let that put you off, … Money wise I thought it was a good average level for this style of machine to pretty happy with it, savings on it have already been made, from not buying pods…

The machine makes perfect hot coffee and is so easy to use. Once the initial set up is done which takes a while to test the water quality, install everything and insert the water filter. All of which takes about an hour. … One thing to know is that it sometimes automatically cleans the milk system so if the hose is still in the milk it will put steam in it and make it go funny. … The drip tray does need emptying quite alot as it rinses itself after each coffee. All in all very impressed.…

I've had the machine for coming up two months & I am impressed, it is simple to use, simple to adjust the plethora of drink options but retains the last used within any types of the drinks served. … I read some reviews regarding the milk temperature & initially tried warming the milk for 30 seconds in the microwave but after a spell the milk drinkers in the house stopped bothering & are happy with the finished article. … The bean hopper is huge but only holds one type of bean…

This coffee machine produces delicious coffee and the variability of each cup is amazing. You can customise the strength and volume of each cup to your liking. It is very easy to clean and the designers really thought about the full user cycle for this machine. … My one complaint is on the water jug, 1.7L sounds like a lot, but it does an automated cleaning cycle when you turn it on AND when you turn it off (if you choose a drink that has milk). So the 1.7L capacity only lasts for 4-5 drinks before you need to refill it.

Technical values are as stated by the manufacturer or store; user experiences are summarised from the reviews read and do not apply to every unit. We do not test products ourselves.
