The Melitta Latticia OT F300-100 is a slim (20 cm wide) bean-to-cup machine with a quiet conical steel grinder. It makes one-touch espresso, café crème, cappuccino and latte macchiato, and can make two drinks at once. Owners and a UK expert review praise the coffee quality, ease of use, milk function and low grinder noise. The trade-offs are practical: rinsing and purging fill the drip tray quickly, you must supply your own milk jug, tall latte glasses don't fit under the spout, and it has buttons and LED symbols rather than a screen or user profiles. It suits people who want good milky and black coffee from a compact, simple machine. It is less suited to those wanting extensive customisation or low upkeep. UK prices vary widely between sellers, and long-term reliability evidence is limited to a few individual reports.

What the features mean in everyday use.
UK retailers list the black Latticia OT as model F300-100 with GTIN 4006508223923. Melitta UK's black Latticia OT (SKU 6771892_UK) carries the same GTIN. A silver version (SKU 6773343_UK) is sold with identical specifications.
Compact 200 mm-wide body (352 x 200 x 459 mm, 9.3 kg) with a removable 1.5 l water tank and a 250 g bean container. The machine is 1450 W.
5 grind settings, 3 strength levels, 3 brewing temperatures (85/90/95 °C) and stepless water quantity from 25 to 220 ml. The 15 bar pump pressure is listed by Argos, AO and Which?.
One-touch Espresso, Café Crème, Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato, milk foam and hot water. A Double Cup function makes two drinks at once, including milk drinks.
Melitta claims the LATTEperfection system froths milk twice for finer foam at the right temperature. Milk is drawn through a tube from the user's own container, and a quick milk-circuit rinse programme is provided.
Melitta markets the steel conical grinder as particularly quiet. Ideal Home measured 74 dB and called it the quietest bean-to-cup machine it had tested. Several UK buyers find it quieter than previous machines or 'not too noisy'. A few say it is not whisper quiet or is 'little bit of noisy'.
Coffee taste is the most frequently praised point in UK store reviews (espresso with crema, good cappuccino and latte). Ideal Home lists 'High quality espresso' as a reason to buy.
Buyers describe it as easy to set up and use, with useful presets, an easy milk system and on-the-fly adjustment of strength and quantity.
Rinsing and purging use a lot of water, so the drip tray fills quickly. Some UK buyers report emptying it daily or every other day, and the machine asks for a milk spout purge after milky drinks. Ideal Home also had to empty the drip tray around once per day.
No milk container or milk lance is included. Argos's Q&A confirms buyers need their own container, and UK reviewers and Ideal Home wish one were supplied.
Amazon UK reviewers report that tall latte glasses (e.g. 'Costa' sized) do not fit under the outlet, and that the roughly 46 cm depth may not suit every worktop. The manufacturer states 140 mm under the outlet.
One Amazon UK reviewer who returned the machine found the water tank small in daily use, especially with a water filter fitted. A second reviewer also mentions its size.
One UK Amazon reviewer reports the milk frother seizing a few weeks after purchase, with the fault unresolved and the machine returned. The Amazon page's review snippets also mention a unit failing after about a year and one breaking after four months. These are isolated reports and do not establish a failure rate.
Buyers find the instructions vague. One reports that the manual names the wrong button for the quick milk-tube cleaning routine.
Controls are buttons with an LED symbol display. There is no text screen, no user profiles, no bean-level monitoring, no pre-ground coffee chute and no Bean Select. The Companion App offers guidance but not remote brewing.
Ideal Home (4/5) praises low-noise grinding, high quality espresso, fully adjustable drink size and the removable tank. It criticises the plasticky design, limited customisation, the separately bought milk container, and the lack of a low-beans alert.
Which? has tested the Latticia OT F300-100 (first reviewed August 2023, last checked October 2026), but its score and verdict are only shown to members.
Prices across UK retailers vary widely. Marketplace sellers on Amazon UK and B&Q, and AO, sell it well below the price on Melitta's own UK site and at Argos.
Removable brewing unit, automatic cleaning and descaling programmes and water-filter compatibility. Melitta claims annual descaling when its Pro Aqua filter is used.
Several UK buyers consider it good value for money for a bean-to-cup machine.
A 2-year manufacturer's guarantee is stated by Melitta UK, Argos, Currys and AO. Argos excludes this product from its 30-day money back guarantee.
Some UK buyers describe it as stylish, compact and good-looking for what it does. Ideal Home found the plastic-heavy design less premium.

Summarised from the 26 reviews we read. A review can mention several points, so the theme counts can add up to more than 26.
UK owners mostly praise the coffee: espresso with good crema and tasty cappuccinos and lattes. They also find it easy to set up and use, with handy presets, an easy milk function and on-the-fly strength and quantity adjustment. Many say grinding is quieter than previous machines, though not silent. Several like the compact, stylish look, making two drinks at once and the value for money. The recurring irritations are practical: rinsing and purging fill the drip tray quickly, a milk jug or lance must be bought separately, tall latte glasses don't fit under the spout, and some find the tank small. The instructions are called vague, and one owner found an error in the manual. One owner reports the milk frother seizing within weeks.

Really good for the price and saves me money because I no longer buy coffees from coffee shops. Wish it contained the milk jug but not a deal breaker

I love this machine, it's so easy to use. It looks great and makes good coffee. It does require regular maintenance (cleaning) but so do all the bean to cup machines and this seems pretty easy. Its my first bean to cup machine so i cant compare it with anything else but i would say its decent value for money. All in all i dont have any complaints and im very happy with my purchase.
I*** 5/5 10 February 2026 Currys AO listing (6771892)
Excellent automatic coffee machine. Very stylish and compact for what it does. Bean to cup so no pods. Not too noisy and a very easy to use milk system. Drip tray needs emptying quite a lot but that's no hardship.

I've been wanting one a while and I like the presets on this one. The instructions are vague and basic though leaving you confused. I wouldn't say it's quiet but pretty quick to process your coffee

The machine can definitely produce hot coffee and the milk steamer is very effective. Overall first impressions...are easy to set up, has produced espresso with nice crema, lovely cappucino to my taste using my favourite Kimbo Crema Intensa coffee beans...also the grinding is a lot quieter than my other machines which is excellent.
J*** S*** 4/5 4 October 2025 Amazon
1 - The drip tray gets full very quickly and it doesn't have a proper sensor (i.e. the machine can't tell you when it's actually full and needs emptying, it estimates it based on how much water has been used to rinse the machine etc). … 3 - For the price of the machine I think that Melitta could have been a bit more generous and included the milk lance and some cleaning tablets / solution as a starter pack.
M*** J*** W*** 5/5 5 April 2025 Amazon
There's an error in the manual which says you need to hold down a certain button to run the quick milk wand cleaning routine, but that's the wrong button, you need to hold down the milk glass button until the lights flash, then it runs a quick milk tube cleaning. That error in the manual frustrated me for a long time!
D*** A*** 5/5 29 January 2025 Amazon
You can adjust the quantity and strength easily ‘on the fly’ which is nice as you don’t always have the same mugs/cups etc. the only drawback is that the ‘Costa’ sized latte glasses don’t fit under, nor the slightly smaller versions … It is quite quiet- maybe not whisper quiet as stated.
G*** 5/5 2 November 2024 Amazon
For the price this is a brilliant machine and I would definitely recommend.
E*** 3/5 4 April 2024 Amazon
This machine makes great coffee. Unfortunately, I returned it because of three issues which affected the usability. Firstly, the water tank is quite small - especially when you add a water filter which further reduces the volume of water it can hold. … Thirdly, the machine asks you to purge the milk spout after every milky drink.
D*** L*** 1/5 16 February 2023 Amazon Frosted Black
We bought this as a Which? recommended product. At first the machine was fine, if fiddly to use as it required some sort of regular maintenance in different areas much more often than our previous bean to cup machine. Then, a few weeks after arrival, the milk frother totally seized up. … We had to buy expensive items (descaler and other products) which Melitta told us to use to try to put things right - these cost around £40 in total and made no difference at all. … Returned for refund.
A*** 5/5 3 November 2022 Amazon
Update 2: 3 years since I got this machine and if I ever have to buy another machine I will get the same one!!! … 2. While the machine is not very wide, only 20cms, the depth is quite large at about 46cm, so it won’t fit on every sideboard cabinet.

The Melitta Latticia OT is a sleek, compact bean-to-cup machine that offers straightforward plug-and-play operation with customizable drink sizes, brew strengths, and temperatures. While the metal milk straw attachment can be inconvenient for large milk bottles and cleaning the drip tray can be slightly messy, it consistently produces tasty, hot coffee with good crema.

Where the information comes from, by type; each finding also links its own source.
This page is compiled from manufacturer, store, review and video sources; every piece of information links to the source it was read from. Technical values are as stated by the manufacturer or store; user experiences are summarised from the reviews read and do not apply to every unit. We do not test products ourselves.
