The Siemens EQ700 integral TQ713GB3 is a mid-to-premium bean-to-cup machine with a ceramic grinder, full-touch display, Home Connect app and an integrated 0.7 litre milk container that can be stored in the fridge and is rinsed automatically. Owners like the coffee quality, the easy one-touch operation, the large drink menu (including Cold Brew) and how quiet it is. The main drawback is milk drinks that come out warm rather than hot, which only partly improves on the maximum temperature setting; there is also no cup warmer, no pre-ground coffee option and a few reports of milk-system and other faults. It suits people who want convenient, quiet, app-controlled milk and black coffee and do not need piping-hot lattes. Long-term durability is not yet established, and no independent lab test was found.

What the features mean in everyday use.
Siemens UK sells TQ713GB3 as the 'EQ700 integral' in stainless steel with black secondary colour; GTIN 4242003960998 is shown by Siemens, Amazon UK and Currys Business.
The machine has an integrated milk system with a removable 0.70 l milk container and an automatic milk system rinse; Siemens describes fully automatic steam cleaning (autoMilk Clean). The milk container, nozzle and tube are dishwasher-safe.
Siemens lists a wide menu including espresso, americano, flat white, latte macchiato, cappuccino, Cold Brew and Slow Brew, with adjustable aroma profile (aromaSelect), size, milk ratio and strength, AromaDoubleShot and two-cup dispensing.
Operation is via a TFT full-touch display (iSelect) and the machine supports Home Connect for remote monitoring and control from the app.
The specification lists no cup heater, no pot (coffee jug) function, no funnel for pre-ground coffee and no superSilent feature.
The machine measures 380 x 352 x 467 mm and weighs 9.7 kg, with a 2.4 l water tank, a single 320 g bean container and a height-adjustable outlet from 7.5 to 14 cm.
The TQ717GB3 EQ700 integral adds an on/off switchable cup heater, a pot function and a comfort package with milk carton adapter (9.9 kg); Siemens UK lists it as no longer available.
Applies to the model family
Owners across John Lewis, Amazon UK and Feefo/Currys reviews frequently praise the taste and quality of the coffee, some comparing it favourably with previous bean-to-cup machines.
Many reviewers describe the machine as easy to set up and use, with a wide choice of drinks at the touch of a button and plenty of customisation.
Several reviewers say it is quieter than other bean-to-cup and pod machines they have owned.
The most common complaint is that milk-based drinks come out warm rather than hot; some owners say switching the brewing temperature to maximum fixes it, while others still reheat drinks in a microwave.
A few owners report milk system issues: a milk container that did not work (unit returned), a milk dispenser that 'constantly acts up' with oat milk, and a milk tank that is hard to clean because of a tight angle at the bottom.
Individual reviews report water leaks, an under-responsive touchscreen, a false 'insert drip tray' warning, and a milk/coffee heater failure that was repaired and then failed again; these are isolated reports, not a measured failure rate.
Owners note the largest flat white is 180 ml, the smallest milk foam is 100 ml, the drip tray needs emptying after about six cups, Cortado is only available via the app, and the printed manual is poor.
John Lewis lists it reduced to clear at £899 (was £1,099) with a 2-year guarantee, and Amazon UK sells it at £899 (RRP £1,099); Currys Business shows it out of stock.
No independent lab test of this model was found; the one editorial review found (Balance Journal) says it has not bench-tested the machine, scores milk performance lowest and highlights warm rather than hot milk drinks and a slow interface.
Applies to the model family
UK retailers describe the same TQ713GB3 differently: 'Black' at John Lewis, 'Silver' at Currys and 'Silver Metallic' at Amazon, while Siemens says stainless steel with black.
Some reviewers value the Home Connect app, for example to start the machine remotely or to reach extra drinks.

Summarised from the 37 reviews we read. A review can mention several points, so the theme counts can add up to more than 37.
Owners mostly praise the coffee quality, the simple touchscreen operation, the broad drink menu with easy customisation and how quiet the machine is compared with earlier bean-to-cup and pod machines. The integrated milk container, which can be kept in the fridge, and the automatic milk rinse are liked, and some find the app handy. The most frequent complaint is that milk drinks come out warm rather than hot: some owners say setting brewing temperature to maximum solves it, others still reheat drinks. Less common reports include a milk container or dispenser that stopped working (one with oat milk), a milk tank that is awkward to clean, water leaks, a sluggish touchscreen, a heater failure, a small drip tray, limited drink sizes, no pre-ground coffee option and a poor printed manual. Several buyers think it is expensive but worth it.

This is just great. Easy set up, variety of drinks available at just a touch. Makes such a difference for easy good quality coffee throughout the day at the touch of a button.
Customer 3/5 17 June 2026 John Lewis Syndicated from the Siemens UK site
Installation was a real pain. The instruction manual is poor and on the cheapest paper I have perhaps ever seen. … you require to download the App to find Cortado. … The coffee produced so far tastes very good but as others have said could be hotter.
D*** 5/5 17 January 2026 John Lewis
Once you have worked out your coffee preferences and strength the machine will become your best friend … Its not the cheapest but you get what you pay for
Customer 2/5 29 December 2025 John Lewis Syndicated from the Siemens UK site
I bought the Siemens EQ700 TQ713GB3 as a Christmas gift for my wife and myself, hoping for a premium bean‑to‑cup experience. Unfortunately, after using it for a short time, I can't recommend it. … The biggest problem is that the machine leaks water. … the touchscreen itself is less impressive. It often feels under‑responsive … drinks come out lukewarm at best
L*** 1*** 5/5 22 November 2025 John Lewis
I have had other bean to cup machines in the past. This one surpasses them … It's childs play … The frother is the best I have had … I put the temp on max and I am very happy with it … This is also quieter than my other machines too
Customer 1/5 18 November 2025 John Lewis Syndicated from the Siemens UK site
Came with no instructions and lots of coffee inside the box also no brita filter … When switched on says insert drip tray but drip tray inserted
J*** 4/5 10 November 2025 John Lewis
… easy to use, looks good and it makes a good selection of coffees … the largest flatwhite that the machine will make is 180ml … the drip try is too small … needs emptying after making about six cups of coffee. … Nonethess I like the taste of the cofffee and the ease of use, so I would make the same decision again
Z*** 4/5 22 February 2025 John Lewis
This is a replacement coffee machine as our 18 month older model was leaking. … This machine is superior in every way, faster, quieter and makes excellent coffee. … The only downside is the milk foam option no longer has a 60ml option, the smallest is 100ml. This machine also doesn't accept ground coffee.
Customer 5/5 16 February 2026 John Lewis Syndicated from the Siemens UK site
Great coffee machine 2nd one I've had really pleased
A*** 5/5 21 February 2026 Currys
Excellent coffee mashine. Makes very nice coffee. Some people did mention that some of the beverages are not hot enough but this is due to cold milk that is being used … I microwave my milk for 30 sec …
C*** R*** 3/5 14 November 2025 Currys
The quality of the non milk based drinks is excellent, but the milk based drinks are not hot enough despite being set to maximum temperature . We have to put the drink in the microwave to heat it up
D*** 5/5 8 December 2025 Currys
A good all round coffee machine
C*** R*** 2/5 7 May 2025 Currys
More than happy with this machine at first but the poor responsiveness of the touch screen soon became aggravating. … tight angle at the bottom. … heater element for both the milk and the coffee stopped working. It was returned and repaired at no cost to us, great. Until it stopped working again a few months later. …
N*** 5/5 11 March 2025 Currys
I already had one of these machines which my daughter and her partner absolutely fell in love with … over two years with no problems or snags …
B*** 5/5 4 February 2025 Currys
A little slow but works really well.
J*** 1/5 17 June 2026 Amazon
Milk container did not work, so no cappuccinos or lattes. Had to return
E*** 3/5 22 July 2026 Amazon
I was extremely hopeful that this machine would be a great purchase and to be fair it is but I fear it’s not going to last very long. My partner and I typically have a coffee per day and use oat milk and the milk dispenser constantly acts up, therefore I’m only giving 3 starts and given the price point I would expect better
O*** 4/5 13 March 2025 Amazon
I do love this machine. it's quick, it's quieter than other machines I have ownded. My only negative point and the reason i only gave it 4 stars is because of the temperature. I have it set on max temp, but it's not very hot. It's great if you want an espresso to drink immediately after making. But if you want a larger drink that you can put down for a few mins and still be hot, you'll be disappointed. …
B*** 5/5 27 June 2026 Amazon
Brilliant. Saved me loads of money on bought coffees. Only real gripe is that the bean hopper isn't quite as large as some other machines - not really a problem though.
M*** G*** A*** B*** 5/5 10 July 2026 Amazon
At last, a decent cup of coffee and so easy, press the button, walk away then return minutes later to a perfectly made drink of your choice.
M*** B*** 5/5 6 April 2026 Amazon
One of the best purchases I’ve made … It’s a little expensive but you get quality with what you pay, easy to clean and easy to use and it even has an app you can use to start it up before you get to the kitchen … It’s not as noisy as any other coffee machine, it’s more quiet than those Tassimo or Dulce Gusto ones
S*** 5/5 5 April 2026 Amazon
Simply the best I love my coffee machine so easy to use and clean
