The Siemens EQ500 classic (TP515GB1) is a slim, mid-range bean-to-cup machine with a 15 bar pump, ceramic grinder, colour touch display and ten drinks, including one-touch cappuccino, latte macchiato and flat white made with milk drawn through a pipe from your own carton. Owners mostly praise the coffee, the easy set-up and use, and the easy cleaning, and several prefer the milk pipe to a milk tank. The main complaint is that the automatic rinse fills the drip tray and empties the tank faster. It has no app control, no user profiles and no cup warmer. It suits households that want simple milk drinks without a separate milk jug to wash. Buyers who want an app, a built-in milk container or proven durability should look elsewhere, as no independent test or long-term reliability data was found. UK prices vary widely between sellers, so it is worth comparing before buying.
Strengths
Full set of espresso and milk drinks, with one-touch milk drinks and two cups at once
Ceramic grinder with 6 settings, 15 bar pump and 1.9 l tank in a slim 265 mm-wide body
Owners rate the coffee highly and find it easy to set up and use
Show all (5)
Easy maintenance and a carton-fed milk pipe that owners find less work than a milk tank
Drip-free pouring and an adjustable outlet that fits tall mugs
Things to consider
Automatic rinsing at switch-on and switch-off means emptying the drip tray and refilling the tank more often
No app, user profiles, cup warmer or pot function, and only one bean container
Little evidence on long-term reliability; one reported failure and no independent lab test
Show all (4)
Not stocked by Currys, Argos or John Lewis, and prices differ by over £200 between sellers
Who is it for, and who is it not for?
Good for
Households that want one-touch milk drinks straight from a carton without a separate milk container to clean
Kitchens with limited worktop width
First-time bean-to-cup buyers who value simple operation
May not suit
Users who want app control or saved personal profiles
Buyers who prefer a built-in milk container (the EQ500 integral TQ513GB1 has one)
Anyone who needs proven long-term durability before buying
TP515GB1 is the UK code of the Siemens EQ500 classic in Daylight silver / Piano black, EAN 4242003976722; it is sold in the UK by Siemens direct, Amazon.co.uk, AO and independent retailers.
Milk is drawn through a hose from the user's own carton or jug (integrated milk system with hose, no milk container); Latte Macchiato, Cappuccino, Espresso Macchiato and Flat white are made at one touch without moving the cup.
Ten drink options including Americano, Caffe Crema, Espresso doppio, hot water and milk foam; size and strength adjustable, aromaDouble Shot, oneTouch DoubleCup for two cups at once, and a chute for pre-ground coffee.
15 bar pump, 1500 W, ceramic grinder with 6 grind settings, 1.9 l water tank, 270 g bean container, TFT touch display, height-adjustable outlet 9-14 cm.
Removable brewing unit, automatic milk system rinse, descaling programme with calc'n'clean, and dishwasher-safe drip plate, milk nozzle, milk tube and grounds container.
No Home Connect app, no user profiles (individualCoffee), no pot function, no cup lighting, no cup heater listed and not a superSilent model; only one bean container.
Siemens lists 373 x 265 x 448 mm and 7.8 kg for TP515GB1 against 373 x 318 x 448 mm and 8.3 kg for the EQ500 integral TQ513GB1, which carries a 0.70 l milk container instead of a hose.
Most UK reviewers read praise the coffee, describing it as rich, smooth and coffee-shop or barista quality, with Americano, Caffe Crema and cappuccino singled out.
Reviewers repeatedly say set-up and day-to-day use are easy, selecting drinks by tapping the picture on the display and adjusting strength, volume and one or two cups.
Owners like the self-cleaning, easy descaling and modular parts; several prefer putting the milk pipe straight into a carton rather than washing a milk tank, and the milk foam is described as smooth and creamy.
The automatic rinse at switch-on and switch-off means more frequent tank refills and drip-tray emptying; one owner was told by Siemens support that water in the drip tray is normal, and one 2-star reviewer said the machine occasionally dispensed coffee inside itself.
Single reviewers mention: coffee taste not as good as an AeroPress, a non-Siemens water filter not being recognised, no measuring scoop for pre-ground coffee, and the grinder being 'a little loud' (others found it quiet).
One Amazon UK review excerpt says the machine 'had stopped working and had to send it back to Siemens', and Amazon's review summary describes reliability feedback as mixed; long-term reliability data for this model was not found.
Currys, Argos, John Lewis and Very do not list TP515GB1; it is available from Siemens direct, Amazon.co.uk (third-party seller), AO and independent retailers such as Gerald Giles.
The list price is £629; Siemens direct and Gerald Giles were at £399, Amazon.co.uk at £591.46 and AO at £629 (£597 for AO members) when checked, so prices vary by more than £200 between UK sellers.
Because it shares the EQ500 integral's drinks list, pressure, power, tank and grinder settings but uses a simple milk hose, the classic suits buyers who are happy to pour milk from their own carton and want the slimmer housing.

Wasn't a huge fan of this. First ever coffee it made, it made inside of itself! Was thinking "I must have done something wrong" but no, it just did it every now and then. I don't think the coffee it made tasted that great either. I've now reverted back to the aeropress, much better tasting coffee in my opinon.

I put in the previous review that it had stopped working and had to send it back to Siemens....

I purchased this as a second / return. I have had it now three months. … It has performed very well and makes excellent coffee. … Milk function is excellent and self cleaning. … A pro and a con is that it always cleans itself before and after being turned on or turning off. The pro here is the coffee is always fresh and equipment clean. Con is you need to fill the tank more often and empty the drip tray. … I also like the modular nature of the unit which makes it much easier to deep clean, so I expect this to be a reliable machine for some time to come.

Amazing and easy to use. Will never go back

Love this coffee machine, I’ve bought a log of them over the years and this is finally the one. Best feature for me is putting the straw into the milk carton and this saves on cleaning. Quite quiet machine so I don’t waken the kids with an early morning brew. Tastes just like coffee shop coffees.

What can I say other than I love my coffee maker. I have tried several brands of coffee, and all at different strengths. For me, I found my perfect cup of coffee very quickly. I live in a relatively hard water area, so I have had to descale the machine, which turned out to be an easy exercise to complete. The only downside I have found is that it doesn't register my non-siemens water filter, but I can live with that.

Loving it! Absolutely magical piece of coffee making equipment! I love every single cup of my caffeine top up that it serves me, it’s easy to clean and even assembling it wasn’t too complicated … Looks stylish, it’s a little loud but no more than expected. Would definitely buy again!

Very good!

Amazing, up my coffee game to barista level without any of the work. Every coffee tastes amazing. Very easy to use and set up. We bought it on offer and it’s worth the money been using for a week now appears to work perfectly. I was concerned about the water in the drip tray but after speaking with technical it’s very normal due to steam and the self clean after every use. Amazing machine

Ok. I’m a coffee snob and really really pedantic about good coffee. There were some small things not 100% right when I opened the box. I originally left a negative review…. *******But, it makes absolutely amazingly great coffee! ***** I’ve tried all the drinks. They are all great. The two best drinks are the cafe crema (the lazy/easy/French version of an Americano) and the Americano (really truly outstanding). The cappuccino is also fantastic.

Recommend by a friend and it’s great, easy, taste great and in my opinion it is 100 times better than the sage barista express which is now living...

Easy to use and great tasting coffee.

Great machine. Good selection of options including settings for stronger coffee, different volumes and two cups at once. Easy to set up and use too. Takes the time & effort out of coffee compared to external porta filters & steam wands. Would recommend.

Best coffee machine I have ever purchased. I LOVE it.
R***5/57 June 2026ao-retail-ltd (Feefo)
…You can also use pre-ground coffee, eg decaf coffee, which is a good feature, would have been helpful if the machine included a pre-measured scoop as this took some practice to get it right.

Works well, looks good, pipe for milk rather than a tank works much better for me.

I’ve really been enjoying using this coffee machine, it’s made my daily routine so much easier. The coffee comes out rich and smooth and I like that you can adjust it to your taste without over complicating things. … very easy to clean, which make a big difference for everyday use. The grind feels well balanced and the milk foam comes out just like in a coffee shop- smooth, creamy and really well textured. …

Siemens bean to cup is a lovely coffee machine. It was easy to set up, comes with customised Brita water filter to remove the water hardness to enhance the coffee extraction and avoid scaling of the machine parts. You can enjoy range of coffee options with a touch of button on the selection panel. The coffee tastes great and pours nicely without any drips and has an adjustable dispenser which makes it easier to fit bigger mugs too. Drinks are made at the right temperature. Overall, it’s a convenient coffee machine and well worth it.

This is an excellent bean to cup coffee machine . We’ve had these machines for many years and this just replaced a 15 Gaggia machine . It’s very easy to set up and assemble from the box … There are numerous settings for different brews with simple menu select and makes excellent coffee. It dispenses really well - with no drips and choice of 1 or 2 cups … It isn’t very noisy … appears really robust and cleans well . All in all a very good machine
