The Breville One-Touch CoffeeHouse VCF107 is a compact 19-bar pump espresso machine with an automatic milk system. It makes espresso, cappuccino or latte at the press of a button from ground coffee or ESE pods. It is not bean-to-cup and has no grinder. Owners mainly praise the coffee taste, the simplicity and the value, especially when it is on offer. The fridge-storable milk container is handy but fiddly to fit, frothing is loud, and cleaning the milk path takes regular effort. An expert reviewer also found the build somewhat flimsy and the frother nozzle short. It suits beginners who want easy milk drinks without learning to steam milk. Enthusiasts who want manual control, a hot-water outlet or whole-bean convenience should look elsewhere. Long-term durability is not well documented, and the guarantee is one year.
Before you buy
What the features mean in everyday use.
The VCF107 is not bean-to-cup. It has no grinder and takes pre-ground coffee or ESE pods in a portafilter, so whole beans need a separate grinder.
It has a 19-bar pump, a removable 1.4 L water tank and an automatic milk system. Milk is drawn from a removable 600 ml container that can be kept in the fridge.
One-touch buttons make espresso, cappuccino and latte, each in two sizes, and there is a manual/custom option. There is no hot-water outlet.
It has a compact footprint of about 31.4 x 22.6 x 28.9 cm (H x W x D). Maximum cup height is 12 cm.
AO, Which?, Currys Business and a Breville Service Team answer on Argos all give a 1-year manufacturer guarantee. One Argos spec line says 2 years.
Coffee taste is the most common praise across Amazon.co.uk, Argos and AO reviews. Several buyers say their lattes and cappuccinos rival coffee-shop drinks or more expensive machines.
Reviewers often say it is simple to set up and use, and the automatic milk frothing means no barista skills are needed.
Buyers frequently call it good value, especially when bought on offer, and some say it saves them buying coffee-shop drinks.
The removable milk container is the most common design complaint. Users find it fiddly or awkward to attach and its lid easy to knock off. Tom's Guide also calls the milk reservoir fiddly.
Some owners find daily cleaning tedious because milk collects in hard-to-reach places, and one long-term Amazon reviewer still disliked it after 12 months. Others call it easy to clean, and an Argos reviewer advises running the cleaning cycle regularly in hard-water areas.
Milk frothing is described as loud by several store reviewers and by Tom's Guide.
There are isolated fault reports. One buyer on Amazon.co.uk (reviewing from Ireland) received two faulty units: a leaking water tank and a steam control panel that did not light. Another mentions a water-tank leak on first use. The sample is too small to judge reliability.
Tom's Guide (3.5/5, 2021) praised the easy three-drink brewing, manual shot options, automatic frothing, thick crema and good cup-to-cup consistency. It criticised flimsy build quality, a fiddly milk reservoir, a frother nozzle too short for small cups, and a few minutes of warm-up time.
Long-term evidence is thin. One Argos reviewer says their first machine lasted 2.7 years with no issues, while an Amazon owner disliked it after a year because of cleaning. Which? reliability data was not accessible.
Breville UK's own product page for the VCF107 is no longer live, and Currys lists it as out of stock or delisted. Amazon.co.uk, Argos, AO and OnBuy were still selling it new on 27 October 2026. The CoffeeHouse II (VCF146/VCF147) appears to be the successor.
Some reviewers say the best results need some experimenting with grind fineness, coffee dose and foam level. One recommends a burr grinder rather than a blade grinder.
The automatic milk system, few buttons and compact size suit beginners who mainly want milk drinks at home. People who want manual steam-wand control, a hot-water outlet, whole-bean convenience or robust build are better served elsewhere.

UK buyers mostly like the VCF107 for good-tasting espresso, lattes and cappuccinos at the press of a button. Many compare it favourably with coffee-shop drinks or pricier machines and call it good value. The automatic milk frothing, simple controls and small footprint are the most praised features. The removable milk container draws the most complaints: it is fiddly to attach and its lid can fall off. Some find the cleaning tedious because milk collects in hard-to-reach spots, and frothing is described as loud. A few want hotter milk, and there are isolated reports of leaks or faulty units. Several note that results improve once grind fineness and foam level are dialled in.

This Breville coffee machine is a fantastic little coffee maker. It is intuitive, easy to use, has a lovely modern design, and has a very compact form factor. … I REALLY appreciate how the milk container can detatch and be stored in the fridge. Super helpful and great design. … I have enjoyed every cup of coffee I've had since owning the machine. It is quiet, compact, and ever so easy to use. Couldn't be happier for the price I paid.

This machine is great, takes up very little space, cute and neat. Love my latties The temperature is okay, my preference would be a little hotter but that's personally how I like it.

Great machine especially when I got it for just under a £100. Makes great coffee and anyone confused by the buttons just use the manual ones until you get used to it. Even at its usual price it would be a bargain

almost perfect, omg the milk container, I have read many reviews and some about the milk container. yes its awful design, but wore part is the lid is not secure, and I have dropped it 2 times already and messed all around. … well it makes coffee and mbuttery milk foam beautifully, fast easy and tasty. yes the milk steam is loud and it auto shuts off when not in use also has cleaning mode. … will definitely need a tray under the machine as I did have a leak with the water tank first timer accidents. very easy to use.

So good ! Love the option to have milk through or not. Simple to use and comes with a one shot and 2 shot pod. Easy to clean. Great value for money as has saved us buying a Costa everyday. Heat quality is good. … The handle for the coffee pods is very sturdy and works great fits perfectly in our kitchen as it’s small and compact so goes anywhere without taking up too much room. Looks the business too !

… It has a smallish footprint and so was easy to find a spot on the kitchen worktops for it and, although it stands quite high, it is still not as tall as the bottom of a wall cupboard. … Based on the experience of my relative - who had never used one of these coffee machines before - I am happy to recommend this product as a budget/entry level coffee machine. …

I ordered this machine last December as a present but it arrived faulty, the water tank keeps leaking slow leak after use. Returned it and ordered another one and this time while doing the Prime the control panel for steam heater is not working, only the espresso panel light is on. Tried it after 30 mins and still the same.

Steam makes the display labels disappear.also the machine came without the pods which are listed in the instructions. No notice for Australian consumer that the machine will come with a UK plague.

I recently upgraded to an automatic coffee machine from a very well known company costing £700 and it was awful coffee and a water hog so the machine was duly returned. This Breville machine is the second one I've had it makes the best latte, don't wast your money on an expensive coffee machine get the Breville instead you won't regret it.

I bought this machine after taking back a £400 machine that was so complicated! But I am so glad I bought this Cheaper model as the coffee is brilliant and so simple to operate *****

Love it, coffee takes a little here and there with the amount if foam, grinding the coffee so its really fine for a stronger taste, but now I have the perfect coffee in the mornings! You wont be disapointed

… Easy to use, perfect froth every time(if you like the extra froth use whole milk). … Our first one lasted 2.7 years and we just ordered the second one. In all those years we had no issue … One important tip: always keep up with the cleaning cycle. … If you live in an areas with hard water like us, do the cleaning cycle every 40 brews or use bottled/filtered water …

Excellent coffee maker, wonderful tasting coffee. Good value, easy to use, gives me everything that I need.
L*** 5/5 15 April 2026 Argos
Bought this 3 weeks ago and we haven't bought lattes on the way to work each day - making it a real game changer! Very easy to clean and use, we previously had a swan vintage coffee machine and would steam the milk ourselves ( pain in the ) but this is as good if not better than a coffee shop coffee

… Easy to clean. Froth is spot on. It's not quiet, but I didn't expect it to be. Great to detach the milk container and stash it in the fridge. Doesn't take long to do the initial clean/run through. Brilliant intermediate machine. … Coffee is the same every time. I bought a bore grinder (KG79) - do not get a blade grinder. Has the 19 bar pressure required to extract the coffee properly. Chuffed to bits.

Customer 4/5 6 November 2025 ao-retail-ltd (Feefo)
The machine works well and is easy to clean the only minor niggle is that the milk container that is removable to cool in the fridge is awkward to fit .this may get better when the deals ease with use.

The Breville One-Touch CoffeeHouse is an affordable, compact, and simple-to-operate entry-level coffee machine with an automatic milk frother. However, it is not a fully automated bean-to-cup machine, as manual dosing and tamping of the portafilter are still required. The default espresso volumes are quite weak and the milk frother runs loud and very hot, though the custom settings allow users to adjust brew amounts.
YouTube · Review
The Breville One-Touch CoffeeHouse produces very hot, flavourful coffee with generous amounts of froth. While it delivers great results and offers customisable settings, it can be quite noisy and fiddly to operate, with limited height clearance for tall glasses. It is recommended for anyone who prioritises drink temperature and froth quality over quick convenience.
YouTube · Review
The Breville One-Touch CoffeeHouse is a versatile coffee machine for making lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos with ground coffee and an integrated milk container. While it is quite noisy, takes a while to warm up, and tall latte glasses do not fit underneath, it has handy safety features and brews attractive layered coffees.
