The Ninja Luxe Café Mini Plus (ES352UK) is a compact espresso and filter-coffee machine with a built-in 60-setting grinder, scale and hands-free steam wand. Owners praise the coffee quality, the small footprint and the automatic frothing, which handles dairy and plant milk without a barista's technique. The trade-offs are a small water tank and drip tray, no cold brew or cold froth, and no way to brew and steam at the same time. Some owners need time to dial in the grind despite the guided recommendations. It suits small kitchens and pod-machine upgraders who want real espresso with little skill. Anyone who wants cold brew, cold foam or high-volume brewing should look at the Premier or Pro. Store reviews are largely manufacturer-syndicated and often incentivised, no independent UK test was found, and long-term reliability is not yet known.
Before you buy
What the features mean in everyday use.
The ES352UK is a silver Ninja Luxe Café Mini Plus sold in the UK by SharkNinja UK, Currys and John Lewis. All three listed it as in stock at £529.99 on 28 October 2026.
It is rated at 1,650 W with 9-bar pressure, a 1.4 L water tank (John Lewis says 1.3 L) and a 250 g bean hopper. It uses a thermoblock.
It is a 2-in-1 machine: espresso and filter coffee (hot and over ice), plus hot water. Unlike the Premier ES601UK and Pro ES701UK it has no cold brew.
A hands-free, temperature-controlled steam wand with 3 preset froth programmes textures dairy or plant milk. This is the main difference from the Luxe Café Mini ES301UK, which has a manual wand.
It has a built-in grinder with 60 grind sizes, a precision scale and Barista Assist Technology, which recommends a grind size and monitors brew temperature and pressure.
The body measures about 26 x 30.9 x 34.1 cm, the same as the ES301UK. Ninja says it is 30% smaller than the Luxe Café Pro.
Reviewers on Currys and John Lewis most often praise the taste of the espresso and coffee, and how easy the machine is to use day to day. Several are moving up from pod machines.
Many reviewers say it fits small kitchens and apartments, and praise its looks.
Reviewers like the hands-free frother and the self-cleaning wand. A few say the auto foam can be thick and chunky or inconsistent, and that it cannot make cold froth.
A notable minority say dialling in takes trial and error and the written instructions are thin. Some say the grind recommendation choked the machine or left them with little crema.
Reviewers say the water tank needs refilling often and the drip tray fills after a few drinks. The US Homes & Gardens review also found the reservoir small.
A few reviewers note that it cannot brew espresso and steam milk at the same time, and that a drink takes a while to make. One low-rated review also calls it noisy, while others describe it as quiet.
One John Lewis reviewer found the body plasticky and light enough to move when locking in the portafilter.
Most store reviews are syndicated from SharkNinja. Many are tagged incentivised or written by SharkNinja staff or demo-event attendees, and many of the same texts appear on both Currys and John Lewis. The store ratings may therefore be more favourable than typical buyer experience, and long-term reliability is not yet evidenced.
The US edition of Homes & Gardens found the espresso great-tasting, the frothing quick and the machine quiet. It noted slight spluttering when dispensing and some grinder retention.
It comes with a 2-year guarantee; the second year requires registration.

User experience
See the common points first, then read the original reviews yourself.
Summarised from the 104 reviews we read. A review can mention several points, so the theme counts can add up to more than 104.
Owners mostly praise café-style espresso and lattes from a machine small enough for tight kitchens, and say daily use is simple. The hands-free frother and self-cleaning wand win frequent praise, especially from people moving up from pod machines. The common complaints are a learning curve when dialling in grind size, with thin instructions and occasional choking or weak crema when following the machine's grind advice. Others mention a small water tank and a drip tray that fills quickly. A few find the auto foam too thick or miss a cold-froth option, note that espresso and steaming can't run at the same time, or feel drinks are slow to make. One owner found it noisy and not worth the money, and one felt the body light and plasticky. Most store reviews come from the manufacturer and many are incentivised or written by staff, so treat the very positive tone with caution.
Summarised from 104 reviews; 3 reviews about delivery, packaging or the seller were left out. The summary is drawn from opinions that recur in the reviews read; each theme shows how many reviews mention it. These counts are not a rate and do not apply to every unit.
Currys 35 unique text reviews (Feefo feed, all read) + John Lewis 69 (reviews API pages 1–4, all read) = 104 store-level unique reviews; many SharkNinja-syndicated texts appear at both stores. Theme mentions summed per store, partly approximate. No ratings-only entries; 3 Currys delivery reviews excluded. Argos unreachable; Amazon had 0 reviews.

I would have to say it really is the best Bean to cup coffee machine I have owned. I had purchased a delonghi magnifica start &,sadly it broke down twice within 7 mths & i returned it for a full refund. … it was easy to get used to,after having fully automatic machines for many years,& the perfect size for my small kitchen.
B*** 5/5 8 September 2026 Currys
Makes a great expresso, takes a few pulls to get used to it and tailored to your taste but follow the instructions and you get a decent cup from the start.

Excellent machine easy to use as good as any coffee shop

Awesome coffee machine, takes up very little space on the side and looks amazing. What more could you want!
K*** 5/5 29 September 2026 John Lewis
… The hands-free milk frother is a game changer for me. My old machine needed me to hold the frother in place, but this one does all the work automatically… Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase.
D*** 5/5 5 September 2026 John Lewis
Purchased a few weeks ago. Replaced a well known pod machine beginning with N. I was concerned about size as I live in an apartment with barely any countertop space… The coffee is fantastic, even with Aldi beans. No mess, great taste and the auto milk frother and cleaner is an absolute dream!…
M*** 5/5 22 August 2026 John Lewis
Had this for a month as a replacement for an aging pod machine… The machine has been fabulous. … Only niggle would be the drip trace fills very quickly, after four or five drinks, and the water tank empties pretty quickly,
S*** C*** 5/5 18 August 2026 Currys Syndicated from SharkNinja
Easy to use great coffee, compact size machine and all the great taste of bean coffee with all the guess work of dialling in taken away. Wish bought it sooner
A*** 4/5 26 July 2026 John Lewis
…it was easy to set it up… The machine looks very sleek but one thing that makes me feel a bit uncertain is that it feels a bit plasticky and at times feels too light, specially when I am putting the portafilter into the brewing, it needs some light force to lock it, the machine moves as am doing it so I have to hold the machine…
M*** 5/5 26 July 2026 John Lewis
…I was a bit disappointed with the instructions… At times when making espresso only small amounts of water come through… but I thought the machine was supposed to adjust this for you… The water tank is small so need to remember to check it… So a good machine which I would recommend however instructions let it down for me.
G*** 5/5 18 July 2026 John Lewis
Bought this for my daughter who wanted something more compact than my Ninja Luxe Café Premier (ES601UK)… The coffee is excellent… The one real letdown is the lack of cold froth. The Premier handles it, the Mini doesn't…
P*** 3/5 9 July 2026 John Lewis
To be honest im still not convinced this machine is worth the money it takes too long to make a coffee and the noise of it is awful i was so excited to get this andim very dissatisfied with it
M*** 5/5 6 July 2026 John Lewis
…A Few Quirks: The built-in 'barista guidance' is a bit of a mixed bag… a couple of times it told me to go too fine and ended up choking the machine… if you use the automatic frother, be prepared for some seriously thick, chunky foam… For knocking out a great, highly drinkable morning latte or Americano with zero fuss, it's a brilliant little machine.
P*** 4/5 10 June 2026 John Lewis
Build quality is as expected from Ninja and the initial setup was quick and effortless… The only negative is that despite numerous brews following both the recommended grind and manual adjustments I have yet to get any crema… clearer written info on grind sizes may be helpful to fine tune. Especially as it has 60 grind sizes.

The Ninja Luxe Café Mini Plus delivers a more compact footprint with a 60-setting grinder, integrated scale, and faster, quieter heating than previous models. However, it omits cold brew and cold frothing features, has an all-plastic outer casing, and can produce inconsistent automatic milk foam. Given its price is close to the larger model, it makes the most sense for those with limited worktop space.
YouTube · Review
The Ninja Luxe Cafe Mini Plus is a compact, more affordable espresso machine with an impressive 60 grind settings and highly consistent espresso ratios. It excels at producing thick cappuccino-style milk foam with its automated wand, though it cannot produce microfoam on auto settings and performs poorly when making filter or over-ice coffee. Overall, it is recommended for espresso and traditional milky coffee lovers who want a smaller footprint.
YouTube · Review
The Ninja Luxe Café Mini Plus offers automated barista assistance, consistent dosing, and quiet grinding in a compact, attractive chassis. While the automated milk frothing produces rather thick, chunky foam and the grind advice can occasionally choke the extraction, the manual steam wand is impressively fast and capable of creating great texture for latte art. Overall, it produces hot, decent espresso well suited for milk drinks and everyday coffees.
YouTube · Comparison
The Ninja Luxe Café Mini is a more compact espresso machine that offers greater grind granularity with 60 settings and an accurate built-in scale. However, it lacks the cold brew and cold frothed milk options of the full-sized model, has a smaller water reservoir, and features a single-spout portafilter with a plastic insert.
