The Vertuo Lattissima ENV300 is a Nespresso Vertuo pod machine with an integrated automatic milk jug. It makes one-touch cappuccinos and latte macchiatos as well as black coffees from espresso to carafe, with the cup size set by the pod. Buyers and expert reviewers praise the coffee, the convenience of the fridge-storable milk jug with automatic rinse, and easy everyday use. The main drawbacks are drinks that some find only lukewarm, a fairly loud and bulky machine, a capsule lever that can throw errors if not closed fully, and dependence on costly Vertuo pods. It suits Vertuo fans who want milk drinks without a separate frother, and it is widely discounted below list price in the UK. It is less suited to anyone who wants very hot drinks, adjustable froth or cheaper third-party pods. Long-term reliability is not independently established, and there are isolated reports of failures.

What the features mean in everyday use.
Vertuo Lattissima only takes Nespresso Vertuo capsules. De'Longhi says it makes six black coffee sizes from Espresso to Carafe using four pod sizes, and the barcode on each pod sets the drink.
The machine has an integrated automatic milk jug (0.5 L per De'Longhi) for cappuccino, latte macchiato, espresso macchiato and hot milk foam. It has an automatic rinse, and the jug can be stored in the fridge.
De'Longhi and Currys list a 1.6 L water tank and a used-capsule container for 6 up to 10 capsules. John Lewis lists 1.2 L.
De'Longhi states a 25-second heat-up and automatic power-off after 2 minutes. Expert Reviews found it takes around 30 seconds to heat up, plus another 30 seconds to prepare the steam for milk.
The machine measures H36 x W25.5 x D43.5 cm and weighs about 6.4 kg. Some reviewers find it bulky, while others call it compact for a milk machine.
Buyers on Amazon.co.uk, John Lewis and Currys most often praise the taste and quality of the coffee.
Many buyers like having the milk frother built in. One-touch milk drinks, the rinse programme and keeping the jug in the fridge are mentioned often.
Most buyers find day-to-day use simple. A minority say it is complex at first, and that the printed instructions are very basic and online videos help.
Several John Lewis reviewers say the coffee or milk drinks are only lukewarm, while a few say the temperature is right. Trusted Reviews measured around 67°C at all cup sizes.
Some buyers note that the machine is louder than expected. Expert Reviews measured a 60 dB peak at one metre against 54 dB for the Vertuo Plus.
Both expert reviews describe trouble with the manual capsule latch. If it is not fully closed the button flashes orange with an error, and Expert Reviews found the lever sometimes fails to lock and is more prone to jamming than the Vertuo Plus.
There are isolated reports of failures. One John Lewis buyer had two units break within 18 months, and a forum poster's machine died with two flashing orange lights. These reports do not establish a failure rate.
Vertuo brewing produces a deep crema or froth, and large drinks need deep mugs. Some users report overflows or find it hard to judge the milk added. Trusted Reviews also says you need to plan cup size around the capsule used.
Buyers note that Vertuo pods are bought mainly from Nespresso, that Original pods do not fit, and that pods are expensive.
Applies to the model family
Trusted Reviews concludes that it is the machine to buy for Vertuo users who want quality milk drinks. Its pros are one-touch milk and coffee, rich mugs of coffee and nicely textured milk. Expert Reviews rates it 7/9: easy to use with good-tasting coffee, but somewhat clunky in operation, and froth level cannot be adjusted.
Which? tested the ENV300.B (first reviewed Jan 2024). Its visible summary calls it pricey for a pod machine but with appealing features, including automatic milk frothing. The test score is not publicly visible.
Retailers disagree on connectivity. Currys lists Wi-Fi with the Nespresso app, while the John Lewis spec row and Which? list no smart control.
In November 2026 the machine is in stock at De'Longhi UK at list price and heavily discounted at John Lewis and Currys. Amazon.co.uk has no featured offer, and Mark's Electrical lists it as discontinued.
Several reviewers describe solid build with metal parts such as the cup stand and twist-top lock. One John Lewis reviewer calls it a cheap build.
De'Longhi UK and John Lewis include a 2-year guarantee. Currys lists a 1-year manufacturer's guarantee.

Summarised from the 65 reviews we read. A review can mention several points, so the theme counts can add up to more than 65.
Owners mostly praise the coffee and the convenience of the built-in milk jug. One-touch cappuccinos and lattes are popular, and the jug can go in the fridge and rinses itself. Most find it easy once set up, although several say the printed instructions are poor and it takes time to learn which pod makes which cup size. The main complaints are drinks that come out only lukewarm, a louder machine than expected, and very deep froth or crema that needs tall mugs. Others mention bulk, pods mainly available from Nespresso and expensive, and a few early failures. Some buyers see the discounted price as good value; a minority feel it is not worth the money.

Bought this after our original nespresso needed an upgrade after many years. So disappointing as makes a cold coffee. We now have to pre warm our cups with hot water and milk frother is useless. So now use a separate milk frother. Absolute waste of time and money.

This is a good machine if you have very deep mugs. It produces an enormous amount of froth (it’s not what I’d call crema). This leads to overflows and the milk spout disappearing into the top of the coffee. Ended up buying Nespresso’s own deep glass mug as was the only one that would fit a mug size pod and milk. Coffee tastes good though!

It’s complex until you get used to it but it makes outstanding coffee and worth every penny/ cent. Once you're used to it very easy to use.

This is an absolute game changer in coffee perfection in my home. I also have a bean to cup coffee machine with a milk frother - its dissapointing compared to this De'Longhi Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima ENV300.B. … The taste of the coffee is elevated and the milk frother makes a huge difference. …

I just love this coffee machine! … it's sleek appearance means it's attractive enough to be on your worktop constantly, plus most importantly it makes delicious tasting coffee, and steamed milk without the hassle of another appliance … I've only given it 4 stars as the instructions are pretty useless, but there are lots of full instructions on their YouTube page to help you.

Advice in store was spot on. I wanted a machine that would have a wide range of pods and which delivered proper hot coffee. Machine has met all my expections and a great price.

Bought this on offer so it was a really good deal as £100 more in Nespresso shop! … Only slight criticism I like my coffee boiling hot and this is just at drinking temperature. Creates thick and creamy coffee - even the black Americano is frothy. Very happy

My second Nespresso machine.. I liked the look and sound of this machine. The milk frother is outstanding. Really makes the coffee that little bit better. Good features for making cappuccino & machiatto. Just so much better than my old machine. I'm not disappointed.

Do not recommend this product. Coffee only Luke warm. Not as strait forward to use as a Nespresso pod machine and frother which make a hotter mug of coffee

Great machine I bought at the sale price so well worth it and excellent coffee although the pods are expensive
L*** 2/5 17 June 2025 John Lewis
I changed my old Vertuo machine for a Latissima but very much prefer the old one. Coffee flavours are not so nice … The crema is so deep that it looks like a cappuccino … When milk is added you can't tell how much you've put in … the coffee isn't as hot as the Vertuo …

We have had two of these within 18months and the first one lasted 6months and the second has just broken for the second time in less than a year. Being collected for repair which will take approx 2-3 weeks. Would not buy again as not worth the price.

Love this Nespresso makes a great coffee and having the milk attached to this machine makes it even better than before. … The coffee just the right temperature and the milk is perfect too, I love you can add your own amount of milk so making a bit shorter drink.

… The pod selection is extensive, with different strengths, flavours and sizes, and better yet- the pods are recyclable. The machine feels like good quality, with some solid metal parts such as the cup stand and the twist-top pod lock. … if you’ve got the space and a budget for a top-range pod coffee machine I would recommend the Virtuo Latissima, but note that it is not as quiet as I would have liked.
S*** 5/5 5 September 2023 Amazon Vertuo Lattissima Black
… The machine is actually noisier than I thought it would be, but relative to the many advantages it has, this becomes a minor thing. … A huge advantage is that the coffee machine prepares coffee in various sizes including up to 535 ml. … I highly recommend the Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima coffee machine.
N*** C*** 5/5 4 September 2023 Amazon Vertuo Lattissima Black
This machine takes at home coffee to a new level! It's very easy to use and only requires one button press to create a coffee masterpiece of your choosing. … The build of this machine is clearly premium and I'm looking forward to always having good coffee in the morning.
g*** 5/5 1 September 2023 Amazon Vertuo Lattissima White
… this Lattissima makes it so easy by letting you simply remove the milk frothing part to keep in the fridge. … A cup of latte using the 80ml capsule would amount to a whopping 590ml! … Just need bigger cups for my increased latte consumption!
V*** 3/5 1 September 2023 John Lewis
The machine is very high quality made piece of tech. Its sturdy and main parts are made of solid metal. … On the negative side I would say that the machine is missing a display where you can see and adjust all settings. … Water spills outside the metal tray … The nozzle is way too short…
1*** 1/5 31 July 2023 John Lewis
Well. We were 'sold' this at the High Wycombe store. … There is a very basic manual with line drawings only. … The machine isn't intuitive … made a latte - not particularly hot - unimpressed. You can buy the capsules online only. … Coffee (if you can produce it) is average. Machine, a cheap build. I wouldn't, seriously.

The Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima features an integrated 500ml milk frother and delivers noticeably hotter coffee and milk drinks than earlier Lattissima iterations. However, buyers are locked into Nespresso's proprietary Vertuo pods, and the coffee tends to have a more bitter flavour profile than OriginalLine machines. Additionally, despite its premium price point, several components such as the top lever are made of plastic.
YouTube · Review
The De'Longhi Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima is an automatic pod coffee maker featuring an integrated milk frother that prepares drinks like lattes and cappuccinos seamlessly. It produces high-quality, hot drinks and ejects pods automatically, though it is quite large, heavy, and pricey. While the milk frother unit is convenient and can be stored in the fridge, understanding pod sizes for different recipes and configuring water hardness settings can prove slightly confusing.

The Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima is an automated pod coffee machine that combines Vertuo brewing with an integrated milk frothing system. It delivers exceptionally fast, creamy, barista-quality drinks at the push of a button. While the milk container requires frequent cleaning after every use, it remains one of the easiest and most convenient single-touch machines available.
