The Lattissima Touch EN560 is a compact Nespresso Original pod machine with an automatic fresh-milk jug and six one-touch buttons, including latte and hot milk.
The Lattissima Touch EN560 is a compact Nespresso Original pod machine with an automatic fresh-milk jug and six one-touch buttons, including latte and hot milk. Owners like the coffee-shop-style milk drinks, the quick heat-up and keeping the jug in the fridge. Recurring complaints are milk frothers failing, leaks and descaling lock-ups within months, drinks that are not very hot, small default cup sizes and a confusing manual. The model is discontinued in the UK: new stock has largely gone, and most units now available are pre-owned. It suits someone after easy milky drinks who can find a cheap, guaranteed unit. People who want piping-hot large mugs or proven long-term durability should look at current models. No independent long-term reliability data is available.

Discontinued in the UK, so new stock with a full guarantee is hard to find
Who is it for, and who is it not for?
Good for
Households wanting quick, low-effort milky Nespresso drinks in a small kitchen space
Bargain hunters who can get a tested unit with a retailer guarantee at well below the original price
May not suit
People who want very hot or mug-sized coffees
Hard-water homes unwilling to descale often or use filtered or bottled water
Buyers who want a new machine with a full manufacturer guarantee from a mainstream UK retailer
The UK model is the De'Longhi-made Nespresso Lattissima Touch EN560.B (black/dark grey; GTIN 8004399332584). The EN560.S (silver) and EN560.W (white) are its colour variants.
The model is effectively discontinued in the UK. John Lewis lists it as discontinued and Amazon UK shows the black and silver as currently unavailable. The white has no featured offer and only marketplace sellers. Direct Vacuums is out of stock, Argos and Currys do not list it, and the eBay UK listings seen were pre-owned.
Six one-touch buttons (Espresso, Long, Creamy/Milky latte, Cappuccino, Latte macchiato, Hot milk). Coffee and milk volumes can be personalised and memorised. There is no display: settings are made with button combinations and LEDs.
Fresh milk is drawn from a removable jug that can be stored in the fridge. Froth texture is adjustable with a knob, and the milk system parts are dishwasher-safe.
Ready in about 25 seconds and switches off automatically after 9 minutes. Descaling alerts follow a 5-level water hardness setting, and there is a cleaning alert.
Most UK reviewers praise the coffee and milk drinks, often comparing them to coffee-shop quality and liking the frothed milk. A minority find the milk too frothy or the coffee weaker than a proper espresso machine.
Reviewers find one-touch operation simple once set up. Keeping the milk jug in the fridge and rinsing or dishwashing the milk parts is seen as easy, though some find the milk parts fiddly.
A notable share of John Lewis reviewers report faults within months: milk frothers replaced (in one case 7 times), leaks from the drip-tray area, and machines stuck in descaling mode. Store reviews cannot give a failure rate.
Several reviewers say the coffee or milk drinks are not very hot ('lukewarm', 'not terribly hot'). Others find them hot enough, and one suggests switching on early.
Users in hard-water areas report frequent descaling. One estimates every 4-5 months at around five drinks a day. Some link frother failures to limescale and switched to bottled water.
The EN560 is a revision of the Lattissima Touch. Its button set replaces Ristretto and warm milk froth (listed for the EN550) with Creamy latte and Hot milk, and adds cleaning and descaling alerts. One UK reviewer chose it over the 'older similar-ish EN550'.
Trusted Reviews' 2015 review of the Lattissima Touch (likely the earlier version) praised the value and one-touch fresh milk foam. It criticised a tricky-to-fill water tank and the need to clean the milk unit regularly.
The last new-stock UK listing seen (Direct Vacuums, a checked-and-tested unit) was priced well below the £279.99 RRP but is out of stock. Pre-owned units are common on eBay UK.
Because new stock has gone and reliability complaints focus on the milk system, a second-hand or old-stock unit is a gamble without a manufacturer guarantee. The Lattissima One or Gran Lattissima are the current UK alternatives in the range.

Owners like how easy it is to make cappuccinos and lattes with real milk at one touch. They praise the coffee as close to coffee-shop quality and value being able to keep the milk jug in the fridge. Cleaning the milk parts is generally seen as quick, although some find the parts fiddly. The main complaints are about durability: several owners report milk frothers failing and being replaced repeatedly, leaks around the drip tray, or the machine sticking in descaling mode within months, especially in hard-water areas. Other recurring gripes are drinks that are not very hot, small default cup sizes that need reprogramming, a small water tank and a confusing manual with no display. Buyers who bought it on offer generally felt it was good value.

I've had this coffee machine for 2 years now and it's worked really well throughout that time. The coffee is good and I love the milk frother, which is also great for hot chocolates. For me the coffee is good but it's definitely inferior to a proper espresso machine. …

We were happy when first got the coffee machine, although have always found the coffee to not be boiling hot but within 6 months of purchasing we have had non stop problems with it, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't we are still within our 2 year warranty and have had the milk frothed replaced 7 times by nespresso, the machine itself has been sent away to them twice for repair just to encounter the same problems again once it was back, currently is not working again …

I bought this last year and was very impressed at first, however, as stated in other people's comments it does not last long. It has stopped working and I am not longer able to enjoy my morning coffee, it seems the problem is mainly the milk frother which states descaling, I have followed all troubleshooting with John Lewis and it still does not work, …

After three months of use this machine leaks from the side of the drip tray / cup stand every single time. The drip tray and capsule collector are emptied after every use so not an overflow problem. No sign of damage or a crack so must be a design fault. Will be returning for a full refund.

have had a nespresso citz for a few years now and decided it was time to treat myself to a new machine. was persuaded in store this was the best. Big mistake. coffee only ever lukewarm, milk frother is all froth and no milk, haven't had a decent cup yet and have resorted back to my old machine. waste of money.

As per other reviewers I love my machine but I've had to have the milk frother replaced 3 times. What I've discovered is my tap water is what is ruining the machine. It's so full of limescale. SOLUTION!!! I now only use bottled water. …

… I love you can use your own milk in this machine and the container fits perfectly in the door shelf of our fridge. It's very easy to use and so simple to quick to clean. There is also a huge choice of compatible pods if you want to try other brands. …

Wish I had never bought it. The worst thing about it is the instructions. They purport to be written in English but they are completely incomprehensible.

This was very easy to set up, warms up quickly and makes a good, frothy cup of coffee, easily as good as most coffee shops. I agree with other reviewers that it's not terribly hot, but that works for me as I want to drink it straight away. …

Awesome. Delicious coffee. Compact and stylish.

Cons: portion sizes aren't what we'd consider normal.. I appreciate the Italians may drink them in smaller portions but here in the UK, we like our money's worth & more respectable sizes. Also, the water tank is only 0.9l so you'll find yourself refilling it every 2-3 coffees.

1. Coffee temperature is low for my liking. Needs to be consumed immediately.

The default measure for the "lungo" was, for me, too small - it dispenses 110ml, I like 200ml, but changing the default amount dispensed was an absolute doddle. …

Because the internal components are quite small it will suffer from limescale, even if you filter your water. In the last nine months I have descaled it twice, so I would say you should expect to descale every 4-5 months if it is used around five times per day. …

Now I switch on, and about 20 seconds later there's fresh java in the cup. No prep, no mess, and the aluminium pods are recyclable. … The milk container can live in the fridge, so you're not pouring away waste.

There is no display, just button and alert LEDs, so initial setup stuff (like volumes of drinks, water hardness, and power-off options) is all set up using button combinations and observing the LEDs. It's not as nice as a real display, but thankfully you'll only need to do it once.

The Nespresso Lattissima Touch offers a sleek, modern design with a fast 25-second heat-up time and intuitive milk drink options. While it is simple to operate and clean, the milk frother produces foam that can be overly airy, coffee temperatures are relatively modest, and the spout tends to drip.
