The TASSIMO Style is a compact, one-button pod machine for T DISCs that makes coffee, tea, hot chocolate and milky drinks with no heat-up wait. Bosch has discontinued the original TAS1102GB in the UK. Its successor, the Style Friendly TAS112EGB, is the same size, power and tank in a recycled-plastic body, and is what Argos and Currys now sell as the 'Style'. Buyers like how easy it is to use, how little space it takes and the drink quality. The small side-mounted 0.7 L tank, costly TASSIMO-only pods and occasionally small or lukewarm drinks are the main drawbacks. It suits small kitchens and anyone who wants fuss-free single drinks, not heavy coffee drinkers or people who want low running costs. No independent long-term reliability test was found. The original model now appears only through pricey marketplace imports, so the Style Friendly from mainstream retailers is the sensible buy.
Before you buy
What the features mean in everyday use.
Compact body of 265 x 171 x 320 mm, weighing 2.1 kg.
Rated at 1400 W with a removable 0.7 litre water tank; no heat-up time before brewing.
Bosch says the INTELLIBREW barcode on each T DISC sets water amount, temperature and brew time, with up to 50 drinks from brands such as L'OR, Kenco and Costa. The machine only takes TASSIMO T DISCs.
Applies to the model family
Has no water filter. Descaling and cleaning use a T DISC programme with a descaling indicator, and several parts (outlet, piercing unit, cup stand, disc holder) are dishwasher-safe.
Bosch UK lists TAS1102GB and TAS1104GB as no longer available and names the Style Friendly TAS112EGB as the successor. Argos and Currys now sell that TAS112EGB under the 'Style' name, and John Lewis does not stock the Style.
The Style Friendly TAS112EGB sold by Currys has the same 265 x 171 x 320 mm size, 1400 W rating, 0.7 L tank and drink list as the original Style, so it is effectively the same machine in a recycled-plastic housing.
Applies to one variant
Buyers most often say the machine is simple to use: pod in, one button, drink out. Several reviewers bought it for elderly parents for this reason.
Many reviewers are pleased with the coffee, hot chocolate and latte drinks. Others call pod coffee merely acceptable, and one dislikes that the milk pods are sweetened.
Reviewers often praise its small footprint for small kitchens and its stylish look and colour options.
The small side-mounted tank is the most common design complaint: it needs refilling every couple of mugs and some find it fiddly to remove. One reviewer, though, finds the side tank easier to refill.
Users note that T DISCs are expensive, that the machine only takes TASSIMO pods, that no pods come in the box, and that the pods create plastic waste. Some get around the cost with refillable pods.
A minority of reviewers find the drinks small or not hot enough, while others specifically praise how hot the drinks are.
A few reviews report a faulty or erratic unit (dead on arrival, slow, or needing several button presses). No independent reliability data was found.
A couple of reviewers found it fiddly at first or felt the picture-only manual did not make operation clear.

Summarised from the 156 reviews we read. A review can mention several points, so the theme counts can add up to more than 156.
Owners mainly value how simple the Style is: drop in a T DISC, press one button, and get coffee, hot chocolate or a latte with no heat-up wait. That suits elderly relatives and people who previously drank instant. Its small footprint and stylish colours are frequently praised for small kitchens. The most common design gripe is the small side-mounted water tank, which needs refilling after a couple of mugs and can be fiddly to remove. Running costs are the other recurring concern: pods are pricey, limited to TASSIMO, not included in the box, and create plastic waste. A minority find portions small or drinks not hot enough, and a handful report faulty or erratic units. Most reviews of the current model are for the recycled-plastic Style Friendly successor.
Summarised from 156 reviews; 4 reviews about delivery, packaging or the seller were left out. The summary is drawn from opinions that recur in the reviews read; each theme shows how many reviews mention it. These counts are not a rate and do not apply to every unit.

The water tank being to the side of the machine is a design flaw, why I weighted the score down. They should have left it at the back of the machine as the Suny model.

This is a very basic coffee maker, that is reflected in the price. The drinks are small and not that warm. You have to buy the correct pods, which are expensive, but actually delicious. Expect a small measure though.…

The Bosch Tassimo Style is an ultra-compact and affordable pod coffee machine that brews automatically using barcode recognition. It features an adjustable cup stand and a handy storage slot for the service disc. However, the open-top water tank lacks a lid, which can lead to spills when carrying it from the sink.
YouTube · Review
This overview introduces the Bosch Style Tassimo coffee machine, walking through its design, set-up process, and drink preparation. The presenter demonstrates how to use the barcode reader system to brew drinks like caramel lattes, as well as how to maintain the machine using its built-in cleaning disc. Overall, it is presented as a straightforward, compact machine with helpful height adjustments for different cup sizes.
YouTube · Comparison
The Tassimo Style is an easy-to-use, budget-friendly coffee machine with a 0.7-litre water tank and zero heat-up time. In testing, it prepared coffee just as fast and tasted identical to the significantly more expensive Tassimo My Way 2. The reviewer recommends it as great value for money for anyone looking to save without sacrificing coffee quality.
YouTube · In use
The Bosch Tassimo Style is a compact, automatic pod coffee machine that utilizes barcodes to configure the optimal brew settings. It is quick to set up and clean, producing layered coffee-shop quality drinks with dense froth. However, the pods are difficult to recycle, and users must take care to seat the water tank properly and wait for the machine to depressurise before opening.
