The Tassimo My Way 2 (TAS6502GB) is Bosch's more flexible T DISC pod machine: 1500 W, a 1.3 l rear tank with an included BRITA filter, and adjustable temperature, cup size and strength with saved preferences. Owners rate it highly for ease of use and cleaning, hotter and customisable drinks, and good drink variety. Common drawbacks are frequent tank refills for large drinks (the filter reduces usable capacity), brewing noise and occasional spitting, no used-disc bin, and being locked into Tassimo pods whose milk drinks use sweetened UHT milk. It suits households that want quick, varied one-touch drinks with more control than basic Tassimo models; it is a poor fit for espresso purists or anyone wanting fresh-milk drinks. Long-term durability has not been independently tested.
Before you buy
What the features mean in everyday use.
TAS6502GB is the black UK version of the Bosch TASSIMO My Way 2 hot drinks machine (T DISC pod system).
1500 W machine with a 1.3 l rear water tank and an included BRITA filter; ready to brew without a heat-up phase; 290 x 230 x 325 mm.
Temperature, cup volume and intensity can be adjusted, and up to four preference settings can be saved.
Uses only TASSIMO T DISCs; barcode reading (Intellibrew) sets water amount, temperature and brewing time; Bosch claims up to 50 drinks from brands such as L'OR, Kenco and Costa. Milk drinks use milk pods rather than fresh milk.
Buyers repeatedly describe the machine as simple to set up, use and clean, with the cleaning disc and self-cleaning between drinks often mentioned.
Many reviewers value being able to make drinks hotter, stronger or larger and save their settings; several upgraded from older one-button Tassimo models for this reason.
Most reviewers are happy with coffee taste and the range of coffee, hot chocolate and tea pods, though a few found specific pods (e.g. Costa milk drinks, hot chocolate) weak or disappointing.
The most frequent complaint is having to refill the tank often, especially with large drinks; some say the BRITA filter takes up tank space or removed it. Expert Reviews says usable capacity drops to about 1 l with the filter fitted. Other buyers find the tank larger than on smaller Tassimo models.
Some owners describe it as somewhat loud while brewing, whereas Expert Reviews lists it as quiet.
A minority of low-rated reviews report machines that stopped working, cut out or had sticking pod holders soon after purchase; long-term failure rates cannot be judged from store reviews.
Owners note that only Tassimo pods fit, pod variety and sizes can be limited, pods get pricier over time, and BRITA cartridges are an extra cost (Expert Reviews estimates around £32 a year).
Independent reviews and some owners note spitting or splashing at the end of hot brews, and there is no internal bin for used T DISCs.
Expert Reviews found the low 3.3 bar pressure struggles to replicate a fresh espresso; Trusted Reviews notes that milk pods contain sweetened UHT milk, making milk drinks sweet.
Which? lists Tassimo Finesse and Happy models but no My Way 2 test was visible; Expert Reviews and Trusted Reviews have reviewed the My Way 2 positively overall.
Sold new in the UK by Bosch's own store, Currys and Amazon.co.uk at around £94-£99.99 at the time of checking.
Several buyers call it good value, particularly when bought on offer; one reviewer would not buy it at full price.

Summarised from the 155 reviews we read. A review can mention several points, so the theme counts can add up to more than 155.
Owners mostly praise how easy the My Way 2 is to use and clean, and especially the ability to make drinks hotter, stronger or larger and save those settings, which many say beats older one-button Tassimo machines. Coffee, hot chocolate and tea quality is generally liked, and it is often seen as good value when bought on offer. The commonest complaint is refilling the tank often for large drinks, with some saying the BRITA filter eats into capacity. Smaller groups mention brewing noise, spitting at the end of hot brews, weak results from certain pods, pod cost and lock-in, confusing instructions, and occasional units that stopped working or had sticking pod holders.

…The My way 2 has great reviews and with good reason. Tasty coffee just like those in a coffee shop but at a fraction of the price. Easy to set up and no tidying up afterwards.

Very easy to use. I love the fact that you can choose your cup size, the intensity of your chosen coffee and that you can also choose the temperature. I just love it. The size of the water tank is big, I get quite a few cups out of it.

Great product, works great. Good settings for the coffee and super easy to use. The ready coffee is very hot and I like it. The only downside is the tassimo coffee which is hard to find a good variety of the coffee and sizes. Moreover the machine is not campatible with other coffee pads or capsules. …

…Almost 7 years of daily work for the first My Way I bought I think is a solid reliability argument :). It's Bosch. … Here, the machine is cheap, bur capsules go up in price in time. … It's not silent but not noisier than beans coffee machines with their grinders - so this is not bothering us at all.
K*** 5/5 13 December 2023 Amazon Colour Name: White
This is great as we can now modify our drinks to our own tastes and even save the settings. … My only complaint is that the coffee tends to splash up the machine (maybe I need to raise the mugs up more) and being the white model, stands out pretty bad. … I picked mine up during a sale so was happy with the price, but at full price it’s not something I’d consider.

…It's easy to use, makes great coffee and I use it quite often (though I've only had it for a week now). … It is a little bit loud but I doubt there's a coffee machine that's absolutely silent … You can also save up to 4 ways you want to make a coffee as well as how strong you want it and it is all touch screen…

…operation couldn't be simpler cleaning is a doddle the price of pods is very reasonable. … if you are a coffee 'snob' then maybe not for you but at least try one from a friend or similar before dismissing this machine…

Bought this to replace an old tassimo machine that we had had for years. The My Way machine is a great upgrade - I enjoy the ability to customise drinks and make the water hotter. I also like the fact that it has a bigger water tank than most of the newer tassimo machines. …

Very good machine. Simple to use. Looks good. Easy to clean. Setting the options is intuitive… My only issue is the water tank is too small and needs refilling all the time if you like a larger coffee as I tend to.
A*** 5/5 17 January 2026 Currys
This machine is amazing, the downside is that I am drinking more coffee because each cup is excellent… Only criticism is water tank cannot keep up with my coffee consumption.
D*** 4/5 3 July 2025 Currys
Bought this to replace my previous Bosch Tassimo. I like the that the strength of coffee can be varied also I enjoy a hot coffee, and that can be varied too. I took the. BRita filter out as it means the water has to be refilled more frequently…
J*** 3/5 6 January 2024 Currys
It could do with a bigger water dispenser but other than that it’s great
M*** 3/5 14 August 2023 Currys
The instructions and settings are impossible to understand and they don't come in English. Once you do work it out, it's a great machine for a lovely drink.

Improvement Points: Really disappointed I thought hard about which coffee machine to buy , I love Costa coffee so thought this is definitely the one for me, it taste nothing like Costa coffee, I believe it may be the milk that comes in the pack, really disappointed waste of my money
S*** 2/5 3 November 2021 Currys
Good Points: I loved the fact that it was using Brita water filter so the water was purer… Improvement Points: The fact that I used the machine 3 times and it stopped working, nothing would work on it and I wasted a good couple of pods trying to get it to work. Really disappointed 😔
M*** 1/5 20 August 2021 Currys
Good Points: Makes a wide range of drinks quickly and easily Improvement Points: The brita filter is expensive to replace and reduces the water capacity by half. Definitely a backwards step in my opinion

The presenter demonstrates and reviews the Bosch Tassimo My Way 2 coffee machine by brewing a Costa latte. Despite poor instruction booklets, a rather short power cord, and pods retaining leftover coffee inside, the machine offers versatile customisation options including temperature, strength, cup size, and user profiles. Overall, the reviewer is very pleased with the machine and considers it a favourite kitchen appliance.
YouTube · Review
The Bosch Tassimo My Way 2 provides extensive customisation, allowing users to easily adjust drink temperature, intensity, and volume. It now incorporates a built-in Brita water filtration system and dishwasher-safe components, making it simple to maintain. It produces impressive, layered coffee drinks at home, though the instruction manual can be confusing and the pods are not easy to recycle.
YouTube · Review
The Tassimo My Way 2 is a compact and straightforward pod machine that provides useful customisation settings for temperature, strength, and drink size, as well as programmable presets. It is capable of making a wide variety of drinks including Cadbury hot chocolate, and the pods are widely available in the UK. However, using the included Brita water filter occupies significant space in the water tank, resulting in frequent refills.

It features a water tank with an integrated Brita filter, automatic barcode recognition for pods, and an easy-to-clean removable drip tray.
